Time Out says

The Show is back again for 2022, bringing the country to the city with animals, produce, rides, showbags and non-stop entertainment

Tapping on was never this much fun. If you're an adrenaline fan, then you'll be happy to learn that once again the Sydney Royal Easter Show will bring the best thrill rides from around the world to Sydney Olympic Park, but with one big difference this year: the introduction of the Carnival Fun Pass

The Carnival Fun Pass allows you to tap and play all day: goodbye paper coupons! The Pass is valid for all rides and games – use it on rides like the Rebel Coaster, with 350 metres of track including two 11-metre drops and a gravity-defying giant loop, or the knuckle-biting Aviator – lifting you more than 100 feet up for an exhilarating swing higher and higher into the sky. Younger Show visitors can tap and ride in the Kids Carnival too. You can order your Fun Pass at the same time as you book your Easter Show tickets and have the Pass mailed out to you. The Pass can be  loaded with credit online before you go, and it can be topped up at a kiosk or booth at the Show.

The Carnival Fun Pass truly brings the Show into the 21st century, and just in time for the 200th anniversary of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW – the organisation that has been presenting the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the last 199 years, and helping ensure that Australia remains a thriving and innovative agricultural producer.

The Show will take place over the school holidays, April 8-19, with more than enough to keep you and your crew entertained for a whole day and into the night. Thousands of animals will be on display during the event, from goats and chickens to enormous bulls and cuddly alpacas. Pat a piglet in the Pig & Goat Pavilion – they’re surprisingly social creatures although they do like you to be gentle!

Australia’s best food, including GF, vegetarian and vegan options, will ensure there is something for everyone to chow down on (not just a good ol’ Dagwood dog). Check out dining venues such as the Stables (home to eating options from burgers to gelato), Mr Alloo’s Noodle Markets (easy-to-eat Asian street food) and the Truck Stop (a corral of food trucks). Kids can learn about farming, nutrition and food safety in the Woolworths Food Farm, and you can enjoy freshly baked scones and piping-hot tea in the Country Women’s Association Tea Rooms.

The Entertainment is back – incredible fireworks that close out the Show every single night, plus live performances from local entertainers. Thrill to the action as the GIANTS Stadium hosts the Wrangler Federation Rodeo Challenge over six nights.

But who are we kidding? We’re in for the showbags, amirite? The full list of 2022 showbags will be released on Monday March 9, so you can study up on the best value hits to buy down at the Showbag Pavilion.

The RAS has been working closely with NSW Health to ensure the 2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show is compliant with all CovidSafe requirements as directed by government and to optimise safety for all patrons, exhibitors, staff and competitors. Tickets for each day will be limited by crowd capacity numbers – so get in quick to prevent disappointment.
